Friends of Hotham (PTA)

About the PTA

Hotham Primary School is proud to have an active PTA (Parent Teacher Association) which plays a vital role in providing experiences for children and families (“making memories”) and raising much-needed funds for the school. We also act as an additional communication channel between the families and the school. All pupils, parents and staff are automatically members of the PTA for the duration of their time at Hotham.

Recent activities

We are active all year round, and recent activities have included:

  • Summer fair - country and western themed

  • Winter Wonderland for children

Fundraising goals

Each year, the PTA and the school agree a wish list for fundraising.

  • Refurbishment of the playground trim trail

In Previous Years the PTA have funded...

  • Art studio furniture and equipment

How can you help?

We always need volunteers, not matter how much or how little time you have to offer. Please email us at HothamPTA@outlook.com or get in touch with your class rep to see how you can get involved.

The schemes below also offer easy ways to fundraise through everyday online shopping:

Easy Fundraising

Did you know that whenever you buy anything online – from your weekly shop to your annual holiday – you could be raising a free donation for Hotham Primary School? There are nearly 3,000 retailers including Amazon, John Lewis, Aviva, thetrainline and Sainsbury’s, who will donate a percentage of the amount you spend to Hotham Primary School to say thank you for shopping with them. It’s really simple, and doesn’t cost you anything. All you have to do is:

1. Go to https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/hothamprimaryschool/

2. Sign up for free

3. Get shopping – your donations will be collected by easyfundraising and automatically sent to Hotham Primary School. It couldn’t be easier! There are no catches or hidden charges and Hotham Primary School will be really grateful for your donations. Thank you for your support

Stikins

Order name labels from Stikins and use the code 10223 while checking out: https://www.stikins.co.uk/

My Name Tags

Its essential to label all items that your child brings to school. If you shop at https://www.mynametags.com/ and quote Hotham's code: 4356 a donation of £2 per order is made to the PTA.

Amazon Smile

Did you know that you can raise money for Hotham through your shopping on Amazon? Just select us via this website: https://smile.amazon.co.uk/

Parental Donations

Not everyone is able to come to events we organise, but some parents would still like to contribute. If you would like to make a one off or regular financial contribution to the PTA, please read this letter to find out how: Please email the school office to find out how to set up a regular or one off donation to the PTA

Birthday Books

Our pupils love to celebrate their birthdays but due to allergies and dietary restrictions we are unable to share donated food treats with classes. On the occasion of a child’s birthday (or for any other reason, for that matter!), parents are welcome to donate a book to the school which will go in the class book corner, with a beautiful bookplate label inside to say who kindly donated it.

To make things easy, we have Amazon wishlists which include books we desperately need. Any books ordered via Amazon will be delivered to our school office. Please add a note when you place the order saying who it is from.
